Youth Campaigns

Pavanasuta Dham – the theme itself is the belief that there is a place for each one of us within society – that each one of us has a role and contribution to the whole. It recognizes that we all have challenges, but that with the right support we can overcome these challenges and ‘fit in’.

Often children with intellectual and developmental challenges face discrimination and lack equal access to education, social activities or employment opportunities. This happens because others – and sometimes, they themselves – cannot see how they fit into the grand pattern of society.

The Pavanasuta Dham campaign is an effort to build an inclusive society by generating awareness about hurdles children with challenges face in reaching their full potential. We do this through:

Holding sensitization workshops for youth in schools, colleges and workplaces in which they can learn about intellectual and development challenges, and thus become compassionate and empathetic to diverse realities.

Taking small steps in their place of study or work to build a more inclusive mindset by becoming ambassadors/ leaders for inclusion. Shouldering a leadership role by writing, advocating, building rigorous knowledge, and raising funds for the cause.

Each year we work with institutions. We have sensitized more than 1000 young people and counting! more than 40 exceptional student volunteers among its ardent supporters. These young people have produced over 20 articles for the popular media, reaching many, many Indians and making diversity a way of life.
